Unique wedding favors for your wedding day

The role that the maid of honor plays in the wedding depends largely on how much responsibility she is willing to take on and also how much responsibility the bride is willing to delegate. Wedding etiquette can be confusing and some of that applies to the bridal shower, as well.

Many couples enjoy entertaining and having a number of their friends over for dinner, drinks and conversation. In the past, it was tradition to give wedding gifts that would help a woman with her new home. The maid of honor typically chooses her own dress for the wedding from a selection provided by the bride.

Love is sure to be an underlying theme in any vow but you may also want to incorporate other ideas in your vows as well. Another tip for writing your wedding vows is to make sure the vows are written well before your wedding date. While as the bride you have the right to make the final decision regarding the choice of dress for the bridesmaids, you may allow either the maid of honor to make the decision or include the entire wedding party in the decision making process.

The more involved they are, the less likely they are to feel left out and resentful about the wedding. Some simple ideas for decorations include using pressed white table clothes and simple floral arrangements on the tables.
